We are pleased to announce the upcoming Safe H-DRI workshop, which will take place on June 25th, 2026 in an online format.

The workshop will bring together project partners and external stakeholders to discuss key aspects related to the safe handling, storage, transport and use of hydrogen-based direct reduced iron (H-DRI).

As H-DRI is expected to play an increasingly important role in the transition towards low-carbon steelmaking, understanding its stability, reoxidation behaviour, dust formation, passivation strategies and transport requirements is essential to support the development of safe and reliable procedures across the value chain.

The event will provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge, share perspectives, and collect feedback from relevant stakeholders, contributing to the project’s ongoing work on safety, logistics and future guidelines for H-DRI handling and transport.

📅 Date: 25 June 2026
📍 Format: Online workshop
⏰Time: 10:45 – 12:45 CET
📝 Agenda: presentations from the Safe H-DRI project partners, stakeholder discussion, and interactive questionnaire/poll sessions
🔗 Registration: further information on registration will be shared soon / interested stakeholders may contact the project team for further details.

Stay tuned for more updates!
